Mystic
I remember getting a cd from a client who worked at a music label. He gave me a few of them actually and one was an emcee named Mystic. I listened to everything back then instantly because most stuff was up to snuff. So, I popped it in and gave it a listen. I haven’t stopped. She couldn’t just rhyme smoothly with a great flow and voice but she could sing and carry a note. I hated that the video released for “The Life” removed her rapping ’cause that was dumb. Didn’t matter because “D-Boy” was my favorite track off her LP. I wish she released a lot more material because she’s not only fine as hell, she’s good for your soul…well, mine anyway. 🙂
